If you’ve seen the TV adverts, you’ll know Sony is going to be streaming exclusive FIFA World Cup content to Bravia TVs and Blu-ray disc players. The service will kick off across Europe from mid-May, which should be any time around now.
“For the first time, Bravia internet-enabled device owners are able to enjoy the Top 20 FIFA World Cup Moments, check out legendary FIFA World Cup stories and anecdotes, watch one of several FIFA World Cup films or check out the profile of their favourite classic football player via Bravia Internet Video,” said a Sony spokesman.
The partnership with FIFA adds to Sony’s existing roster of Bravia Internet Video partners.
Bravia owners can already watch catch-up TV services such as Demand Five or streamed movies from Lovefilm, as well as accessing free content sites such as YouTube and Facebook.
