Cheat your way through Grand Theft Auto IV

Of course here at Absolute Gadget we deplore any attempts by gamers to
cheat their way through a game, it simply isn’t cricket. But as you are
likely to invest over 100 hours of your life playing the hit smash
Grand Theft Auto IV, you may well need to make your way through it as
fast as possible in order to gete on with other things in your life,
such as reading Absolute Gadget or telling your friends down the pub
how you’ve just finished GTA IV without cheating in anyway, no sirree,
not ME!

So the first thing to realise that the main protoagonist, Niko,
possesses a mobile phone with so many great features, you may well want
to cut of a testicle/breast (careful ! – Ed.) to gain ownership. Yes
the mobile phone is the key to getting through the game as quickly as
possible.

Here are a list of cheats we’ve managed to compile from
various sources, so you don’t have to. First up the cheats that work on

Health – Dial 482-555-0100 – This gets Niko back to full health.

Armour – Dial 362-555-0100 – This gives him a bit of protection.

Weapons #1 (This is Baseball Bat, Handgun, Shotgun, MP5, M4, Sniper Rifle, RPG, Grenades) – Dial 486-555-0100

Weapons #2 (This is Knife, Molotovs, Handgun, Shotgun, Uzi, AK47, Sniper Rifle, RPG) – Dial 486-555-0150

Remove Wanted Level (Which blocks "Walked free" achievement) – Dial 267-555-0100

Raise Wanted Level (If you want to be harder) – Dial 267-555-0150

Change Weather/Brightness

Spawn Annihilator – Dial 359-555-0100

the game

Not only that, but if you want to avoid paying a toll ($5) on the
bridge then blag an emergency vehicle, turn the sirens on and let the
tool booth attendants wave you through (fools!). Also if you want to
get police backup and you are in a police car then pressing LB will
allow you to get back up. (Although it’s a bit of a high-risk strategy
as they might just find out that you are a wrong ‘un and turn on you.
