The amount of people searching for Pokemon Porn has risen by up to 336 per cent, PornHub has reported.

The augmented reality game – which involves using GPS and geocaching technologies to catch virtual Pokemon based on your physical location – has become a runaway success, amassing more users than Tinder in a matter of days.

The flesh-merchants have revealed that as of Monday 11 July, less than a week after the game’s US release, searches on the site containing the term ‘Pokemon’ had risen by over 130 per cent.

Pokemon porn browsing hit a particular spike amongst certain demographics, with searches shooting up by 336 per cent among those aged 18 to 24.

“As the game is released in other worldwide markets,” an official blog post read, “we expect to see similar increases.”

The site also reported that men were 62 per cent more likely that women to search for Pokemon porn, and Android users were 52 per cent more likely to be looking for it than those on an Apple device.

It was also discovered that South American countries were by far the most likely to be searching for this specific form of ‘adult entertainment’, with Bolivia, Peru and Chile topping the list.

The spike in searches is yet more evidence of the strong ties between major game releases and porn traffic. PornHub reported a similar 817 per cent spike in searches for Overwatch porn when the game went into public beta.

Pokemon Go has already got players into trouble, with reports that some people are using it as a way to rob real-life victims.
