With the iPhone getting more gamer-friendly and the new Windows Phone 7 reportedly getting hooked up to Xbox Live, it was only a matter of time before Sony would look into the idea of making a PSP phone.
According to job advert on Sony’s PlayStation careers’ website, the company is looking for a senior server engineer to join its Online Technology Group based in the throbbing heart of London’s Soho.
The details ask for someone that has a “knowledge/experience of online gaming”, which suggests that the PlayStation Network could be emerging on a PSP-powered smartphone.
However, according to Android blog Android Central, the new phone could be running the latest version of Android (version 3.0 – gingerbread).
