Auction website eBay has changed its policy that required sellers to only accept Paypal payments in iPhone 4 sales. “All sellers offering the Apple iPhone 4 are required to accept PayPal as their only method of payment so they can benefit from the PayPal Seller Protection,” it said on 24 June.
However, the website – which owns Paypal – has now changed that rule.
“Further to our communication on 24 June we are removing the requirement for sellers to accept PayPal as their only method of payment,” said an updated statement from eBay.
Most sellers can list an Apple iPhone 4, though in limited quantity. However, Apple authorised resellers will be allowed to list an unlimited number of items per week, while eBay Top-rated sellers and those with a history of selling in the Mobile and Home phones category can list up to eight items per week.
