It’s official, Sony has slimmed down its next-gen (now surely current-gen) console to be less bulky, less noisy and more efficient.
The new ‘Slim’ PS3 is:
* 30 per cent lighter
* 32 per cent smaller
* Uses 34 per cent less power
* Has 120GB hard disk drive.
A Sony spokesman tells us the slimmer, lighter PlayStation 3 will include “new PlayStation Network services, plenty of content and a great value price,” as well as “entertainment for all, with a film and digital comics service, new games and new community offers.”
It will be introduced worldwide during the first week of September and is priced at $299 in the US, £249 in the UK.
