We really can’t stand "games" such as Second Life (come on they’re for people
that don’t have a first life), so you can imagine that we are not
entirely grieving over the passing of Google’s effort in this space
with Lively, for it has had the axe taken to it.
The game was only officially launched in
July but in a statment, a Googloid said that "We want to ensure that we
prioritise our resources and focus more on our core search, ads and
apps business." Meaning it wasn’t doing well enough to keep the thing
going. Google’s blog also confirmed as much.
Oh well, back to your first lives of dead-end jobs and fattening foods and size 32 track pants.
