Colgate, the firm that flogs toothpaste has just launched its first electric toothbrush that automatically adjust to clean teeth and gums differently.
The Colgate® ProClinical A1500 has just become available in the UK. The toothbrush was developed with Japanese healthcare company Omron and has unique sensors enable the brush to adjust its cleaning speed to its location in your mouth.
These sensors automatically adjust to engage at different brush speeds and cleaning actions based on its position in your mouth. So when brushing, the toothbrush knows to adjust to: Teeth – Sensitive, side-to-side strokes, Gum Line – Mid-speed, in-out massaging strokes, Molars – Fast, up-down strokes.
It features a distinct sonic wave cleaning action that delivers up to 32,500 strokes per minute, which it claims effectively reducing five times more plaque along the gum-line.
It features an Angled neck cleans hard-to-reach area as well as an ergonomic, non-slip handle and light-weight design
Along with an auto and manual mode selection, and a clear LED display, the toothbrush features a two-minute timer to ensure that you clean your teeth for the length of time recommended by dental professionals for optimum oral health as well as a 30-second pacer to indicate when to move to another quadrant in your mouth.
It also comes with a convenient travel case and replaceable brush heads.
Two types of replaceable brush heads are available – Triple Clean, which cleans in three ways, and Sensitive, for gentle and deep cleaning.
Overall, it was a sensitive clean that was gentle on the mouth but also very effective.
