Lovefilm straight to your telly

The video rental shop is looking ever more threatened as Lovefilm announces its latest service – movies rented directly to your television.

The new option from the online film rental maestros is only available to a) subscribers who have the unlimited subscription package (which already allows films to be streamed straight to your computer) and b) any model from the Samsung Internet@ TV range. If you’ve got both then you don’t even need to touch a keyboard – the movies can be accessed and watched via remote control.

We recommend starting off with Be Kind Rewind, the odd comedy that lionises the old video shop, just to really confuse your sense of loyalty.
