sky_logoIf you are a big fan of Ross Kemp and you have just bought a shiny new Windows 7 laptop then you will be in for a treat as BSkyB is release its Sky Player on the new OS.

The Video-on-demand service will be launch on Microsoft Media Centre which forms part of the Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate versions of the operating system.

Users of the new service will be able to watch live TV, on-demand movies and sport. However the service will only be available to those that subscribe to the service via the Sky Player Multiroom service (which will set you back £5 per month).

Non-Sky customers will have to pay  £15 per month for the “Base entertainment” package. This does not include the cost of line rental.

The service is currently in beta at the moment and Sky has promised a full launch in time for Christmas.
