Sony Ericsson AinoSony makes everything.  Phones, games consoles, music players, meerkats… So it’s about time it started linking all its doohickeys together in order to lay the groundwork for the robot uprising, right?

Enter the very fancy looking Sony Ericsson Aino, which will link up via The Internets to your Playstation 3 using “Remote Play”.

That will allow you to stream any media you’ve got on your PS3 to your phone, wherever you might be in the world. The tech’s already been used in the PSP’s firmware 3.50 update.

And as a nice bonus for European users (well, UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy users, anyway), the phone’ll let you use the new PlayTV service on the PS3.

Absolute Gadget saw it in action at the launch last night and was suitably impressed. The PS3 can be accessed very easily using a Wi-Fi connection on the phone and content can be streamed from the games console itself or from any drive connected to it.

Live TV looked as good as you can expect on a phone – very watchable, while the only features you couldn’t access were the PS3’s update (it would be handy to get that out of the way while you’re not in the room) and the PS3 games themselves.

And being a fancy new phone, it’s got the obligatory fancy new phone features – camera, Bluetooth, Google, makes the tea, yadda yadda yadda.  Full specs are on the next page.

The Aino should be out sometime this year, but there’s no price as yet.
