xbox_360_elite.jpgEuropean Xbox 360 gamers – rejoice. If you are getting bored with
Halo 3 and the NXE isn’t so shiny and new enough, then you can always
watch a movie instead. Film studio Universal is to make available a
range of new and classic (and perhaps not-so-classic) films to download
onto the Microsoft console.

Movies such as Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Wanted, Scarface and Carlito’s Way are now available via the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Neil Thompson, head of Xbox UK & Ireland, told New Media Age that
"Consumers are demanding more content from devices such as Xbox, which
in turn means providers like us are looking to give broader, richer,
deeper, more varied entertainment experiences.

Titles will be available in both standard definition and high
definition. SD movies will cost 360 Microsoft Points and HD ones 540 Points a piece respectively for
new movies. Older stuff will cost 250 MS Points in SD and 380 MS
Points in HD.
