Vax ONEPWR Glide Review

When it comes to hard floors, you need to not only mop them, but also vacuum bits up beforehand. This can take a lot of time. The Vax ONEPWR Glide looks to change all that by combining both jobs in one.

The Vax ONEPWR Glide looks a lot like an upright cleaner but can deposit both dirt and water into its little bin. According to VAX it kills 99.9% of bacteria when one uses the ONEPWR Multi-Floor Solution.

It is also powered by VAX’s ONEPWR 4.0Ah battery. To charge the battery, you need to slide it down the charger until it clicks into place Once fully charged, the battery gives up to 30 minutes (in the ECO mode) of cleaning runtime.

It can clean a plethora of hard flooring types: laminate, hardwood, stone, vinyl and tiles. There are two different cleaning modes available – Eco and High. While the Eco mode works well for normal cleaning, the High mode is advocated when there are hardy stains to clean.

We had a test of the product on a regularly used kitchen floor that is the heart of a family home, hence lots of feet coming in and out of the garden and driveway.

There are two separate water tanks – one for clean water and one for dirty water. The clean water tank has a capacity of 0.64L while the dirty water tank has a capacity of 0.29L.

To operate, you simply press the trigger releases the cleaning solution on to the floor, applying this this on a forward stroke then release on a backward stroke to pick up the solution.

We were really stunned by how well it was able to pick up both large bit of food like vegetables and pasta, as well as smaller bits of dirt and garbage.

One annoyance is the dirty water tank fills too quickly. However, we love how it sucks up the water as you clean so you don’t end up having to wait for the floor to dry for ages. Our only main complaint is that there is a couple cm of the floor that it can’t reach around the sides of cleaning head.

With a 0.6l tank capacity, this isn’t the beefiest cleaner on this list but it’s ideal for small to medium households.
