Wacom has shown off a Special Edition of its Bamboo interactive tablet. The range allows creatives to use a pen or the multi-touch device to work on their computers. So what does the new version offer?
“The Bamboo Special Edition stands out from its family through the unique colour combination of silver and black, as well as its exclusive bundle that includes a valuable set of software programmes and a protective black carry case,” a Wacom suit tells us.
“Operated by either multi-touch or the digital pen, Bamboo Special Edition supports a full set of gestures to scroll, zoom, rotate and flip through photographs or documents. It provides an easy, natural and enjoyable way to interact with a computer.”
Wacom described it as “the perfect accessory for any Apple laptop” and listed its other features as:
* Horizontal symmetry, so it can even be rotated 180-degrees for right and left-handed users
* Customisable ExpressKeys
* Support for gestures of up to four fingers
* Full access to free Bamboo apps.
Two versions of the Bamboo Special Edition interactive tablet will be available from mid-October: small and medium.
The Small version is priced at £109.99 (including VAT) and bundles Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, Corel Painter Essentials 4 and ArtRage 3 Studio Pro. Meanwhile, the Medium version is priced at £189.99 (inc. VAT) and adds the Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 Standard plug-in to that software bundle.
