According to Sony, now you can listen – and be heard – even more clearly with its choice of “comfortable, colourful” new PC headsets. “A stylish alternative to flimsy, drab-looking headsets, the DR-350USB and DR-320DPV are the perfect addition to your netbook, notebook or desktop PC,” a Sony spokeswoman informs us.
Sony says the PC headsets are “dual use” because they are also good enough to use as high-quality headphones.
When using them as a microphone, the voice tube allows “crystal-clear speech quality”, while that mic removes easily for headphone use.
The specifications include:
* High-quality headphone sound with 30mm ferrite driver
* Light, low-pressure adjustable head band and foam earpads “for extended wear”
* The voice tube directs speech straight from mouth to mic, “reducing background noise”
* “High quality multi-directional microphone modules embedded discreetly” in the headsets
The DR-350USB model has a USB adaptor for direct connection to a PC, while the DR-320DPV is available in red or black and has a 2.5m cord with in-line volume control.
Both Sony PC headsets are available from April 2010.
