In what could enrage millions of followers of the Harry Potter saga, Amazon declared the latest version of Windows to be more popular than the teen wizard.
Windows 7 has topped the list of biggest pre-orders on Amazon’s website. Before this, the record was held by JK Rowling’s last Potter book.
“The launch of Windows 7 has superseded everyone’s expectations, storming ahead of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as the biggest grossing pre-order product of all-time at Amazon.co.uk, and demand is still going strong, ” said Amazon.co.uk managing director Brian McBride.
The new operating system has managed to garner more pre-orders in its first eight hours than Vista did for its entire pre-order spell.
The Home Premium edition of the OS will set you back £115, but it looks like someone from Slytherin has put a hex on the Post Office so you may be waiting slightly longer than usual for the software to arrive.
