MWC 2009: INQ handset scoops GSMA award

3 INQ1 mobile phone handset The INQ¹ beat the likes of the Nokia E71, T-Mobile G1, RIM BlackBerry Storm and LG KS360 to win ‘Best Mobile Handset or Device’ at GSMA last night.

"The handset is the first of its kind to bring Facebook, Skype, Windows Live Messenger and Last.fm to its core, making access to social networks and communication via the internet simpler than it has ever been before," said a proud 3 spokesperson.

In the UK the INQ¹ is available exclusively on 3 and costs £15 a month on contract, including unlimited mobile internet, unlimited text messages, unlimited 3-3 calls and 75 cross network minutes.

On Pay As You Go it costs £79.99.

“We were attracted to the INQ¹ because it really focussed on making internet communication as easy as possible for our customers," Fergal Walker, Director of Products and Services at 3 UK.

"We were able to combine this ease of use with pricing that made the cost of internet access as transparent and affordable as making a call or sending a text."
